How is Data Used in the HeirShares App?

HeirShares asks a lot of questions- we seek a lot of details about family information. We get it. It feels a bit...personal. It is. 

We appreciate that you're trusting us with a lot of information. Primarily, data collected in the app is used to inform how the family tree should be interpreted using the laws that apply to real estate ownership transfers. 

We also use data to help identify opportunities to connect HeirShares users to resources they need to confirm owners and better manage family owned real estate. 

Aggregate data (data collected from multiple users and trees) is also very important to HeirShares as it allows us to continually improve the user experience and discover more innovative ways to help families with their real estate. Through statistical analysis of aggregate data we're also able to advocate for policies and legislation that support family owned real estate.
